As part of North Yorkshire Moors Railway’s 175th anniversary celebrations, you can travel on Tornado (or photograph en route, from Grosmont to Battersby and return on both Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st May. The train departs Grosmont at 20:00 and returns at 22:15.

Meantime you can get a sneak preview of Flying Scotsman on the Great Hall turntable at the National Railway Museum in York on 28 - 30 May 2011. She'll be painted in wartime LNER black for the first time since the 1940s (before her Apple Green livery is applied in summer).
