REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT; JULY 2009
The exhibition season is well and truly with us this month. Our flagship ‘Annual Open Exhibition’ lives up to expectations very well in the Cathedral. Last year I had slight concerns about standards of presentation. Things have improved in that respect this year I am pleased to say. In addition we have images on show in the Lamplight Centre and in the Town Hall.
The Racecourse Exhibition was a single day event but was well worth the effort in the numbers of people who came to look. Speaking of work I must pay tribute to the organisers of all these events and to the helpers who assembled stands and put up the pictures. Well done, thank you all.
The programme has provided another good month’s entertainment. It was good that the slide knockout software seemed to work so well.

Three more DPS Exhibitions in July
As well as our renowned Annual Exhibition of members’ work in the Galilee Chapel of Durham Cathedral we are showing prints by members from our 2007/8 documentary of the Durham Miners’ Gala and BRASS: Durham International Festival, funded by Awards for All and DCC.
