It was yet another great day out for Durham Photographic Society photographers, who were out in force to capture in photography this extraordinary event in the calendar - the Durham Miners’ Gala.

Meantime, enjoy this great shot by John Carter of the meeting of the two Tony’s (Benn and DPS member Devlin). Both are much loved in their respective worlds and it was a meeting clearly enjoyed by both.
