Brick by Brick - Rebuilding our Past, will be aired on BBC2 at 9.00 pm on Friday, 13th April 2012, and tells the story of our (Beamish) coal fired Edwardian fish & chip shop, including its re-building at Beamish. Some of the shots should include photos and time-lapse filmed by Julian Harrop and Andy Martin.
The functional exterior is made from old colliery bricks and the interior features a colourful mass of reflective tiles and gleaming coal fired ranges. Attached is a “Saloon” made of corrugated iron clad timber.
