CLUB NIGHT NEWS 27.5.10

AV NIGHT 29th July

This is the night members show their latest AVs (Audio Visual digital image shows with sound track). Technology in this sector is progressing, as in all things photography, and we can look forward to a very exciting and stimulating evening. Mavis Ord is organising things and, being an expert user of picturestoexe, can provide technical support. Contact Mavis if you would like to take part. 2nd PROGRESS PRINT COMPETITION

Congratulations to all those who entered prints. You provided a great night of entertainment, and many thanks to our judges, Colin Armitstead and Jim Welsh LRPS, CPAGB for their expert commentary. Will the top 5 placed awardees in both the A and the B section please send a digital version of your picture (800X600 px. Colour space sRGB) to: attlejohn@aol.com.

PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE CATHEDRAL – Tuesday 1st June

The free places for members have been taken up. Will those members please meet John Attle on the night at 6.15 by the font in the Cathedral. Anyone else wishing to take part can do so for a fee of £10 per camera.

DIGITAL NIGHT WEDNESDAY 2nd JUNE

Wednesday 3rd June, 7.00 pm, County Hall. There will be demonstrations by our most expert members. They will also give advice on specific images so Please bring them along (on CD or memory stick) if you need help with them.

ASSIGNMENT GROUP

Prints from the visit to Tanfield were shown and discussed this week. Colin Armitstead said “The photography just gets better and better”. Next trip – 13th June, stock car racing.
