ASSIGNMENT GROUP

Following the success of the trip to Westgate, the group are descending on Tanfield, the famous steam railway centre, near Stanley on Saturday 15th meeting in the car park at 10.00 am and lunch in the nearby Causey Arch pub. CLUB NIGHT 20th MAY – THE HARRY HOLDER MEMORIAL LECTURE

Denis Thorpe “100 YEARS OF GUARDIAN PHOTOGRAPHY”

Denis was a Guardian photographer from 1974 to 1996 and will be presenting photography that has been shown as a major exhibition in the Lowry Centre and is touring the world.

This will be a very special night and one not to be missed.

PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE CATHEDRAL

There will be a special open evening for photographers 1st June - £10 per camera. As before there will be a small number of free places for DPS members helping out. Requests to John Attle: attlejohn@aol.com

ANNUAL EXHIBITION, GALILEE CHAPEL, DURHAM CATHEDRAL - JULY

By a tradition going back over 40 years, all members have the right to show their own choice of work. Prints must be in 20x16 inch or 40x50 cm mounts. Up to three prints per member can be submitted. Space is limited so put your name down on the list which will be on display next week.

This is a wonderful showcase for the work of the Society, the jewel in our crown, in a world heritage location with thousands of visitors. Your very best photography taken over the last year is requested.
