Club Night News: 7th June

Annual Exhibition Durham Cathedral to 17th June

Our major exhibition of over 100 prints has been very well received by the legions of visitors to Durham Cathedral which is a world heritage site and was voted Britain’s favourite building in a BBC poll. Members can volunteer to steward the exhibition in two hour slots. There is a rota at the club but feel free to just turn up and help out. It is fine to double up with other members. Meet people from all over the world and talk photography in the glorious setting of the Galilee Chapel.

Enjoy spending time with the fabulous photography on show. Look out for the ancient wall paintings high up in the Chapel depicted in Brian Wilcockson’s excellent photograph on display.Annual exhibition 2012, Galilee Chapel

Do not miss Ted Mansell Award winning “Dreaming” by John Carter judged by Malcolm Kus ARPS DPAGB EFIAP.

DPS Exhibition, UHND Hospital

A permanent photography exhibition of members’ prints will is now on display on the 1st floor of the hospital near the ENT department from Saturday 2nd June. DPS volunteer Barry Armitage (pictured) said, “It is good to see this project come to fruition and members’ prints on display. There will be a change of prints in September and it would be good if we can create new work especially for this location”.
