The cathedral was full to capacity, and large crowds gathered at the laying of wreaths at the DLI Memorial and for the parade through the City to the march past at Market Place.
Once again, Durham Photographic Society members were on hand to photograph the momentous and moving events for the DLI veterans.
In Sunderland, the biggest parade outside London, member Ian Stafford was on hand to record the day.
