Members will be torn between two of the best photography and pure enjoyment opportunities of the year this weekend: the acres of steam traction engines, vintage and classic vehicles of every kind plus entertainment (the VPs favourite band, Dorset Rats, are playing) at Pickering Traction Engine Rally or the fabulous Stockton International Riverside Festival with its street performers, spectacular shows and the best carnival north of Notting Hill.
