Flaming June 3 – Olympic Torch Relay Day 30

Much better weather as the Olympic Torch was carried from Palace Green by Paul Collingwood and down to the packed Market Place before setting off across the region once more. Here are just a few of the pictures taken by DPS members.

Members please send your Olympic Torch Relay images to Tony G or John A for posting on future Blogs

Olympic Torch Relay Photo Competition

Don’t forget, Durham County Council is running a ‘capture the moment’ competition as the Relay visits the County on Saturday 16, Sunday 17 and Wednesday 20 June. They’re offering a prize of Olympic memorabilia and some goodies signed by out two local celebrity Torchbearers Matt Baker and Paul Collingwood for the best image loaded onto their Facebook site at facebook.com/durhamcouncil during the three days. They’ll also use the best of the images to make a historical record for 2012.
