Flaming June 2 – Olympic Torch Relay Day 29

It rained and it poured but it was a great day as the Olympic Flame came storming into Durham City to huge acclaim. Here are just a few of the pictures taken by DPS members. More will be posted soon. http://www.london2012.com/torch-relay/

Olympic Torch Relay Photo Competition

Don’t forget, Durham County Council is running a ‘capture the moment’ competition as the Relay visits the County on Saturday 16, Sunday 17 and Wednesday 20 June. They’re offering a prize of Olympic memorabilia and some goodies signed by out two local celebrity Torchbearers Matt Baker and Paul Collingwood for the best image loaded onto their Facebook site at facebook.com/durhamcouncil during the three days. They’ll also use the best of the images to make a historical record for 2012.
