NORTH SHIELDS – We Came, We Saw, We Captured …

… on film (yes, really) and digital media, that is

ASSIGNMENT GROUP OUTING, Saturday 5th February

30 or so DPS photographers descended on the riverside at North Shields. A disproportionate but enjoyable amount of time was spent having coffee at W. Wight Ltd and, later, lunch at the Magnesia Bank pub and, in between, there was plenty of chat and general socialising.

But there was photography too and members were amazed and delighted to see what was on offer. This ranged from W. Wight Ltd itself, to the Fish Quay and the fish sellers, to a magnificent area of derelict warehousing, and more - it was paradise for enthusiastic DPS photographers who soon got down to work. Your Blogger was well motivated to attempt to pull out some stops by being in the presence of so many ace photographers who seemed to know what they were doing!

It will be fascinating to see the results and re-live the experience at the de-brief meeting. The date will be announced shortly and images will be posted on the Assignments Gallery in due course.
