WILLIAM CHEUNG COMES TO TOWN!

Exclusive to DPS members and guests, Will Cheung FRPS will talk about his passion for photography. He has promised digital projection and prints. For 25 years Will has worked in the photography press, editing Practical Photography, Digital Photo and Photography Monthly magazines and is now working as a freelance photographer, journalist and photography tutor. He is associate editor of the online photography community website, ePHOTOzine.com. His photographic interests are very broad and there is no subject that does not interest him. ASSIGNMENT : BANKS OF THE TYNE
A large contingent of enthusiastic members enjoyed a great day of photography on Saturday. DPS President, David Trout, said, “It was a huge success”. We now eagerly await the follow up meeting, 24th November, 7.00 pm County Hall, where we will show and discuss the pictures taken on the day. Please bring along up to four prints no bigger than A4 together with a CD of your favourite 8 images for the new Assignments Gallery on the Home page of this website.
GB CUP
Durham Photographic Society will be entering this inter-club competition run by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. A panel of selectors from the Society, led by Joe Grabham, will choose members’ images that they think will do well from past competitions etc. i.e. will invite you to take part. However, any member can submit images, including Natural History, to Joe for consideration by his selectors. Normal digital competition sizing by email or on disc.
