Assignment Seaham
After a great day out in Seaham there will be a review night, Wednesday 17th October, 7.00 to 9.00 pm County Hall. Bring four or so prints up to A4 in size plus one or two of the special challenge, Cast Iron. It will be fascinating to see what everyone has come up with. Meantime, members can email their eight images for the Assignment Gallery to David Forster. Size must be 1024 pixels max width, 768 pixels max height and sRGBcolour space.

NCPF Judges Seminar Sunday 14th October
An all day event to be held at Ryton & District CC's premises at Cross House Community Centre, Ryton Village, NE40 3QP.
Both members currently on the NCPF Judges List and also those interested to become a listed judge are invited to book themselves in for this event. The presentations and practical sessions are aimed at updating and encouraging both established and prospective judges of all shades of experience.

AGM 1st November
Because our normal meeting hall will be a polling station that day, we will be meeting in County Hall at the earlier time of 6.00 pm with the AGM starting at 6.30

Now on show, 1st floor corridor near ENT department. Next changeover will be in January 2013 with work by newer members.
Sunderland PA Celebrating 125 Years
Our friends from the Sunderland Photographic Association have invited us to a special opening event - their exhibition at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland on the theme of Glass. It will be on Friday 5th October 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. There will be an illustrated talk by Cliff Banks on Old Sunderland followed by a drinks reception. The exhibition will run until Christmas.
Northern Counties Gold Rush!
Speaking of Cliff Banks, he won an ARPS Gold Medal in the Northern Counties International Salon of Photography 2012 as reported in NCPF News. This along with other winners including our own Joe Grabham and Neil Maughan. Read more and see the pictures here:

Stacks of photography opportunities: Northumberlandia open all weekend, Kiteval on in Redcar, Houghton Feast starts, and Marie Curie Etape Pennines cycle race, starting and finishing Ushaw College, on Sunday.
