Keith Suddaby – What a Star!

Yes, Keith Suddaby FRPS MPAGB EFIAP ABPE gave a masterclass in how to judge pictures. It was 3rd Progress Digital night so a lot wasat stake. Not one word of criticism was uttered yet thoughts were given as to how pictures may have been enhanced. Yes, “food for thought” is the new critique mantra!

Oh, and the pictures were great too. Congratulations everybody. The results and images will appear on this Blog soon.

NCPF Judges Seminar Sunday 14th October

Members will be aware our marvellous website is being re-developed behind the scenes and will be re-launched in January. A team of volunteers led by Rob Birrell, with the backing of John Brown, have been beavering away and there will be a follow up meeting Tuesday 16th October 7.00 pm at the Dunelm Club to discuss progress and the next steps. It is not too late to get involved. Enhance your skills base and CV! Simply turn up on the day or ask Rob or Tony G for more info

Assignment Seaham De-brief

After a great day out in Seaham the review night is next Wednesday 17th October, 7.00 to 9.00 pm County Hall. Members will be bringing four or so prints up to A4 in size plus one or two of the special challenge, Cast Iron. It will be fascinating to see what everyone has come up with. Meantime, can members please email their eight images for the Assignment Gallery to David Forster. Size must be 1024 pixels max width, 768 pixels max height and sRGB colour space.

AGM 15th November

Because our normal meeting hall will be a polling station that day, we will be meeting in County Hall at the earlier time of 6.00 pm with the AGM starting at 6.30

DPS Competitions 2013

The most extensive review of our competitions in our history has now been concluded. It was triggered by members’ ideas posted in the early days of our new suggestions box scheme. A study group of members chaired by Past President David Trout, concluding weeks of work, have submitted a comprehensive proposal for change that has been accepted by the committee.

The new, evolutionary and exciting programme of competitions will be announced at the AGM on 15th November
