The former Steetley Magnasite works near Hartlepool, derelict for many years and a magnet for photographers the world over, will soon be no more. The site is fenced off and demolition has started. There is still access to view points all around the large acreage of the area, and to the magnificent coalfield coast beach, for instance via the right of way through the pedestrian tunnel under the railway.
