The way to be happy is to make others happy!
Mae Taylor, who has been secretary to Anne Heywood at Durham Cathedral for ten years, recently left. Durham Photographic Society’s John Attle learnt that Mae greatly admired a print of Bow Lane taken by one of our members, Jim Horne, shown in our Annual Exhibition in the Galilee Chapel in 2010. In a surprise move, Jim presented a framed copy of the picture to Mae on her last day on behalf of the Society in appreciation for her help with the exhibition over many years.
Mae said, “I am so surprised and delighted. I will treasure the picture which will bring back some happy memories of my time at the Cathedral. It is fabulous”.
