The President of the Society traditionally chooses the set subject for the challenging and exciting Fillingham Trophy competition. For 2012, the set subject is “This Sporting Life”.
Tony Griffiths, said, “With 2012 being London Olympics year, it was a no-brainer to choose This Sporting Life for the Fillingham Trophy. As always, the competition set subject is wide open to interpretation. So everything from elite to grass roots level sports and every sport and sport related topics you can imagine applies. I imagine we will have plenty of top flight sports photography but also street and architecture photography. As always, there is plenty of room for English irony too”.
Photos have to be taken between 2nd December 2011 and the closing date in 2012 which will be announced soon. Members can enter up to three images at the new standard of 1400 x1050 px. The fabulous, This Sporting Life, pictures below are by our Webmaster, John Brown
