CLUB NIGHT NEWS 30.9.10

WILL CHEUNG LECTURE

Saturday morning, 13th November in the Council Chamber at County Hall. If you have not already done so (over 70 members have!) put your name down for this DPS event by emailing Paul Ritchie: rtcp4@aol.com

Members will be able to bring a guest also - more on this next week.

DPS DIGITAL NIGHT

“Focus on Layers” plus blending and how to add grunge. Wednesday 6th October, 7 to 9 pm, County Hall.

Info from: j.k.gordon@btinternet.com

COMPETITION COUNTDOWN

Closing date for the Digital Trophy is next Thursday 7th October. It helps competition secretary Roger Culpin greatly if you can email your entry (3 images) to him well before then.

Otherwise, bring in on the night on disc or memory stick. One entry of three images demonstrating versatility. Please check the rules carefully (including general competition rules!)

Same deadline for the George Samuel Trophy - best slide of the year. Pile in the entries if you want this comp to continue!

DPS Music Factory EXHIBITION AT THE SAGE GATESHEAD

Many excellent images are now in and narrowed down to a short list from which the final selection will be made. The exhibition will go up 29th October

TOWN HALL EXHIBITION – REMEMBRANCE

Bring in your 16x20 mounted prints as soon as possible. It would be good to have some of the amazing remembrance related pictures entered into the 3rd Progress Digital competition just concluded. The exhibition will run through November.

ASSIGNMENT M’BRO!

This proved to be a very popular outing for a large number of members old and new. Notwithstanding the vanishing ship and the pub that failed to open, a good time was had by all.

The follow up session will be Tuesday 19th October, County Hall, 7 to 9 pm. A chance to re-live the experience, compare notes and enjoy discussing the pictures in depth. Just bring along a few (say up to 5) prints that need be no bigger than A4.

Ensure Colin has your email address to keep you in the loop for future events.
