ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER JANUARY 2011

Angy Ellis is now taking bookings for this hugely enjoyable event.

COMPETITION COUNTDOWN

This week saw the exciting conclusion of the Progress Print competitions so ably judged by Dave Phillips and Paul Ritchie. The top 5 images in both sections need to be emailed to John Attle (johnattle@yahoo.co.uk) so the results can appear on this blog.

It’s time now to select and prepare for the final competition of the year, the wonderful Valente Cup. This is for the best set of three prints. The Leslie Buss Trophy for Print of the Year will also be awarded by the judge. One entry of three prints is allowed per member. Closing date is 4th November. Please read the rules carefully, including General Competition rules, in your programme. We are likely to see again prints that have already done well in competition as well as exciting new work. This is the big one!

DPS Music Factory EXHIBITION AT THE SAGE GATESHEAD

Because so many good images have been received the plan is to refresh the exhibition half way through the two month run by changing the prints on display. Set up at The Sage Gateshead will be 9.00 am 29th October. Volunteers needed! a.stott@boltblue.com

TOWN HALL EXHIBITION – REMEMBRANCE

Prints are now in and the exhibition will be on display in the Durham Town Hall entrance gallery during the month of November. This will be the 5th DPS showing at this venue this year.

ASSIGNMENT M’BRO!

The follow up session will be Tuesday 19th October, County Hall, 7 to 9 pm. A chance to re-live the experience, compare notes and enjoy discussing the pictures in depth. Just bring along a few (say up to 5) prints up to A4. PLUS up to 8 images on disc or memory stick from the M’bro experience that you would like to appear on the new website gallery. Image size should be as per normal competition rules (1024 px by 768 px max and sRGB colour space) and captioned with your name and sequential numbers. Ensure Colin has your email address to keep you in the loop for future events.
