Paddy’s Hole, South Gare is a paradise for photographers, and members enjoyed a great day of photography on a glorious day in October. The light was perfect and varied through the day and the fishermen we met were very friendly and amenable to being photographed. Everyone was free to do their own thing and there was an added challenge, set by General Secretary Colin Armitstead – to interpret in still photography the word “Wood”. Many and varied will be the pictures that come out of this. There was the usual congenial banter and members took the opportunity to get to know each other better – not so easy during the hub-bub and excitement of a club night. Altogether a very enjoyable experience. We’re all looking forward to the next outing and the de-brief session where pictures will be shown and discussed. This will be Wednesday 28th Oct, County Hall 7-9 pm.
“Great breakfast, good company and limitless photo opportunities. All this … and more ... Magic!” Terry Messenger
" A great location, with loads of picture taking opportunities. It was also enjoyable to experience it with other photographers from DPS. We spurred each other on with the picture taking and it was also good to talk to people who I didn't know from the club. Overall an excellent day and thanks must go to CA for organising " Neil Maughan“Great photo opportunities, great company, great day!” Ian Stafford
