A thousand Bikers assembled at Carrville on Easter Sunday for the first big Bikewise run out of the year. The big hearted biker community donated sack-fulls of Easter eggs for children in hospital wards and bucket loads of cash for local charities. At 10.00 am they set off in a police escorted convoy, on a route taking in Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital North Durham, dropping off toys and Easter eggs to the Children’s wards.
Durham PS photographers organised by John Attle were on hand to document this colourful and heart-warming event. Images will be posted on the Bikewise website soon.
