Exhibition Preview - Jane Bown - 'Exposures'

A Life in Black and White - Sixty years of Jane Bown’s extraordinary portraits for The Observer

DLI Museum Art Gallery, Friday 13 January - 6.00pm.

Organised by Northumbria University Gallery, Exposures showcases 50 of Jane Bown’s best photographs across her career. Jane Bown’s first photograph for The Observer was published in December 1949, beginning a career with the newspaper that has spanned six decades and in which time she has photographed everyone from Bertrand Russell to the Beatles, to Samuel Beckett, and the Queen.

There is FREE admission for all to the preview evening.
