TORNADO BLOWS INTO TOON

The first mainline steam locomotive to be built in Britain for almost 50 years travelled through the region again on Saturday 24th April. Your intrepid band of Bloggers failed to pick up the news of this momentous photography opportunity in time to alert members. We are therefore putting out the call for a member who is a steam enthusiast to act as locomotive correspondent and keep us informed of future events and all things steam for the Blog. Applications please to: tony.griff@gmail.com.

Meantime, Tornado is at the National Railway Museum in Shildon, Co Durham, until 5th May.
